Dear Joe:
This is a long overdue note to let you know that we are really enjoying the
replacement windows we purchased from Alenco this summer.
Now that the weather has turned cooler we have noticed the house is more
comfortable, evenly heated, and less drafty. Outside noise is also greatly
reduced, making the house quieter. We credit the new windows for these
positive changes in the quality of our home life.
We are also extremely pleased with the way the windows were installed by Don
Mills and his crew (Joseph and Rick). They worked quickly, but with purpose and
commitment to doing the job right. They were also respectful of us and our
home, gladly answering our many questions and taking great pains to do the
work neatly. Their attention to detail was commendable and greatly appreciated.
The end product was a first-rate, professional installation. Please convey our
deepest thanks and appreciation to Don and the guys.
The only problem we have noticed with the windows was the film in one of the
sashes. Looking at the window from a certain angle we noticed that it was
“bubbled” in a small area. We mentioned it to Carrie in the Alenco office and she
had a replacement ordered and installed at no cost to us.
Unfortunately, due to a change in the factory’s suppliers the handles on the
replacement sash did not match those on the window next to it. Although a
relatively minor thing, Carrie ordered a second sash (again at no cost to us) to
put in the adjacent window so that there would be a consistent appearance
between the two. This speaks volumes of Alenco’s commitment to customer
service. The fact that Carrie is so helpful and always has a smile in her voice
made the whole situation a positive experience.
Lastly, we want to comment on the wonderful sales presentation you made to us
in our home. It was more like a seminar on replacement windows than the sales
pitch we expected. You thoroughly educated us, filling in the many gaps in our
knowledge. While you obviously have great pride in the products you sell, you
were still fair in your assessment of competitors’ windows. All of the claims you
made were backed up with research data or third-party information. We did not
notice any exaggerated statements or promises, either. It was the best type of
presentation we could have hoped for since it presented the information we
needed for a purchase decision without high pressure or hype.
We especially appreciate you opening your home to us after the presentation so
that we could see the finished product. This gave us a real good idea of what to
expect for a finished appearance. Thank you for going to this extra trouble-it
helped us make our decision to go forward with the project.
Replacing our windows was a major decision and expense. We have absolutely
no regrets.
Thank you so much for all you did-you were a real blessing. We will definitely
call on you and Alenco if we have any other home improvement needs.
